Deiva Marina is strategically situated between Cinque Terre and Portofino, near to Cinque Terre National Park, Portofino Park, Portovenere Regional Nature Park, Montemarcello Val di Magra Park, Val di Vara.
Situated north of the 5 villages known as” Cinque Terre” - just 15 minutes by train from them – Deiva Marina is a quiet seaside resort, especially appreciated for hiking, for its large sandy beach and its clean sea.
Arriving by car / bus: Highway A12 exit Deiva Marina
Small size buses are allowed to reach hotel entrance. Large buses have to stop at the train station situated 5 minute-walk from the hotel.
Arriving by train: Genoa-La Spezia line. Railway station 300 meters from the hotel.
Airports: Pisa, Genoa are the closest airport.

DAY TRIPS
Cinque Terre: Famous all over the world, National Park and UNESCO Heritage, the Cinque Terre are 5 beautiful
sea villages (Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, Riomaggiore) that can be visited by train, by ferry or on foot.
The car is not recommended. The Cinque Terre can be easily reached by train in 20 minutes.

Baie del Levante is a rugged coastline on the Italian Riviera that connects Cinque Terre to Portofino
and consist of 6 villages: Levanto, Bonassola, Framura, Deiva Marina, Moneglia and Sestri Levante,
all with beautiful beaches and less crowded that the near Cinque Terre.
3 of these villages – Levanto – Bonassola – Framura are connected also by Ciclopedonale MareMonti,
former steam train tunnels now converted into an interesting bike with nice sea view.

Portofino: Picturesque harbour with Roman origins and former fishing village, Portofino has reshaped into an exclusive resort.
Surrounded by a beautiful and well maintained Natural Park, the village is reachable by bus/car or ferry from Santa Margherita.

Golfo del Tigullio: Portofino, Santa Margherita Ligure, Rapallo, Zoagli, Chiavari, Sestri Levante.

Golfo Paradiso:
Bogliasco, Pieve Ligure, Sori, Recco, Camogli. 

Genoa: capital of Liguria, it’a commercial and tourist town.

Val Fontanabuona: Famous for its slate quarries. The slate exported all over the world for the manufacture of billiards and for roof construction.

Val di Vara: Medieval villages, hills and mountains. This valley is also famous for the production of organic food.

Golfo dei Poeti: Portovenere, Lerici, Tellaro. La Spezia: Naval Museum, Archaeological Museum, Lia Museum, Seal Museum.

Lunigiana: The valley of the river Magra stretches from the border with the province of Parma towards the sea.
Traces of human settlements dating back to more than 5,000 years BC.
Don’t miss: Staue Stele Museum in Pontremoli, mysterious menir of different ages, dozens of medieval villages,
Luni and its Roman amphitheater, the town of Sarzana, the Grotto of Equi Terme.
30/60 km. from Deiva Marina by car. Sarzana can also be reached by train.

Versilia and Garfagnana (high Tuscany): Picturesque landscapes, hiking on Alpi Apuane, visits to marble quarries,
Grotta del vento (Wind Grotto), Grotta del Gorchia, medieval villages.
Versilia region in particular is recommended for shopping, entertainment and nightlife and for the carnival in Viareggio.

Hiking
Deiva Marina is situated along the Blue-Green Hiking Path (Sentiero Verdeazzurro) that from behind Genoa
leads to Sestri Levante and from there continues to Monterosso and finally reaches Portovenere.
Alta Via dei Monti Liguri – 400 Km from Ventimiglia to La Spezia - can be reached through paths that are perpendicular to the sea (Vie del Sale).

Transportation
Between Genoa and La Spezia there is a station in almost every village, that’s why trains are the best way to move from one village to the other, if you stay along the coast.
If you have a car, Highway Autostrada A12 exits are in Genoa, Recco, Rapallo, Chiavari, Lavagna, Sestri Levante, Deiva Marina, Carrodano, Brugnato and La Spezia.
