Golfo Paradiso:
When travelling along the coastline, on the Roman road Via Aurelia from Genoa to Bogliasco, you will find many towns and villages of the Golfo Paradiso
(Gulf Paradise): Pieve Ligure, Sori, Recco - the Ligurian capital for food and wine, hometown of the famous focaccia and trofie -, Camogli
marvellous town with a Genovese architecture and the maritime museum "Museo Marinaro", well worth a visit; San Fruttuoso, which can
only be reached on foot to see the abbey, the small beach and the statue "Christ of the Abyss"; as well as San Nicolò di Capodimonte.
The gulf can be visited by train or bus.

Val Fontanabuona valley:
It is famous of its slate quarries; some of them are open to visitors.
The valley stretches inland between Genoa and Chiavari. From Chiavari you can get to Cicagna, Gattorna and Lumarzo by car or bus.
The slate museum in Chiapparino, in the municipality of Cicagna, is also worth a visit.

Portofino:
Have a look around this wonderful village and the many breathtaking paths in its natural park.

Golfo del Tigullio:
It stretches from Moneglia to Portofino and can by reached driving along the Roman road Via Aureilia or travelling by train to Santa Margherita.
In Sestri Levante you can visit the Torre Marconi (Marconi tower); in Lavagna the historic centre (Cathedral of Saints Giulia and Stefano); in Chiavari the black arcades
and Palazzo Rocca; in Zoagli the historic centre (the landscape, a walk along the sea, the churches of Saint Martino, of Saint Giovanni and Saint Pantaleo).
In Rapallo you should not miss the seaside promenade and the shrine of Montallegro, as well as the bridge Ponte d'Annibale, Porta Saline and the castle on the sea.
Places worth a visit in Santa Margherita: the historic centre, the seaside promenade, and the church of Saint Margherita of Antioch.

The valleys Val d'Aveto and Val Graveglia:
The valley is characterised by a typical mountain landscape with high peaks
like Mount Penna (1,700 m) and Maggiorasca, (1,800 m). Santo Stefano d'Aveto is a winter ski resort.
The mines of Gambatesa are also worth a visit. You can reach the valley by car or bus from Chiavari.

Val di Vara valley:
Leaving the Riviera behind you, you can reach Val di Vara from Sestri Levante by car or bus.
The valley has become the centre of organic farming par excellence thanks to the great attention
and the high level of professionalism put in the production of typical products such as cold cuts and cheese.
In addition, we recommend visiting the historic centre of Varese Ligure and Brugnato.

The Riviera in the La Spezia province from Deiva Marina to Levanto:
Renowned for its sea and as a hiking resort,this coastline can be discovered by bike along the path that runs through the train tunnels in Framura, Bonassola and Levanto.
This coastline can be easily visited by train too. You should not miss the two Saracen towers dating back to the year 1,000 in Deiva Marina.
Worth a visit are also the small historic centre in Framura, as well as the tower Torre di Costa.
In Bonassola the church Madonnina della Punta, while in Levanto the church of Saint Andrew are also worth a visit.
You can reach them by walking or cycling paths, roads, train and by boat during the summer.

The Cinque Terre:
This wonderful park, declared a world heritage site by UNESCO, is made up of the five villages of Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore.
The Cinque Terre can be visited on foot, by bike, motorcycle, train or boat.
We highly recommend not travelling by car due to the narrow streets and very few parking spaces.

Lunigiana and the Magra Valley:
Lunigiana is divided, from an administrative point of view, between Liguria and Tuscany.
This area still has a lot to be explored and to offer since it has not yet been fully discovered by the tourism sector
and has not received the well-deserved attention a land of such an ancient history and traditions should.
Traces of human settlements have been lost in the mists of time and can be seen in the Pignaro castle in Pontremoli and in the Museum of the stele statues of Lunigiana.
During Roman rule, Luni was a very important commercial port. Numerous castles that were built in the Middle Ages are still well preserved to this day.
It seems that even Dante Alighieri was a guest of the Malaspina family in the Fosdinovo castle.
Other villages that should be visited are: Vezzano Ligure, Sarzana, Castelnuovo Magra, Zeri, Mulazzo, Podenzana, Pontremoli,
Tresana, Villafranca, Filattiera, Fivizzano, Fosdinovo, Licciana Nardi, Aulla, bagnone, Casola Lunigiana and Comano.
They can easily be reached by train, car, bus, bike and motorcycle.
